Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mohamed Ariff Abdul Rahim, an individual developer operating as “Tiger Math” (“Tiger Math,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with the Tiger Math mobile and desktop application (the “App”) and the website at tigermath.app (the “Site”). Tiger Math is an educational math app for children ages 6–12, and protecting children’s privacy is central to how it is built. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

1. The Tiger Math app

The App is designed to minimise data collection and keep learning records on the family’s device. Specifically, the App:

• Does not require an account, sign-up, email address, or login.
• Does not contain third-party advertising and does not show ads to your child.
• Does not use advertising SDKs or behavioral advertising.
• Stores the child profile, learning progress, scores, and settings locally on your device. The child’s optional display name is not included in product analytics.
• Lets the learning activities work offline. Internet access is used for optional analytics/crash diagnostics, purchase processing, store review prompts, and software updates.
• Keeps optional product analytics and crash diagnostics off unless a grown-up grants consent in the parent area. A grown-up can withdraw that consent in the App.

2. Optional analytics and crash diagnostics

If a grown-up grants consent, Tiger Math may send pseudonymous product events to PostHog and technical crash/performance information to Sentry and Expo. These services help us understand whether features work and diagnose failures. Events may include a random device identifier, coarse age range, app version, language, screen or feature used, question topic, answer correctness, timing, purchase state, and technical device information. We configure these tools not to send a child’s name, email address, precise location, payment-card details, or the contents of open text fields.

Analytics consent is optional. Refusing it does not reduce learning functionality. A grown-up can change the decision in the App’s parent settings. We use this information for product improvement, reliability, security, and aggregate business measurement—not advertising or automated decisions about a child.

3. Children’s privacy

Tiger Math is designed for children ages 6–12 and is built to comply with children’s privacy laws, including the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its provisions for children.

There is no behavioral advertising, advertising profile, open-ended chat, or messaging feature. We do not sell learning or analytics information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information outside the intended local profile, contact us using the details below.

4. Purchases

Tiger Math offers an optional one-time “Lifetime” in-app purchase that unlocks premium features, and may also offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions. Whichever you choose, the purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not receive, collect, or store your payment card or billing details. Apple and Google may share a pseudonymous purchaser identifier, product, entitlement, transaction, renewal, refund, and storefront information with our purchase processor, RevenueCat, so the App can unlock and restore access. 5. This website

The Site (tigermath.app) is a static informational website. It:

• Does not use advertising or third-party tracking and analytics cookies.
• May store a small preference on your device (such as your light or dark theme choice) in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Includes a site-verification tag used only to confirm ownership of the Site with a search engine; it does not track visitors.
• Links to external services such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, and our social media pages. Once you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply — we encourage you to review them.

6. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information and do not share it for advertising. When the relevant feature is used, limited information is processed by Apple or Google, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, and Expo as described above and under their contractual/privacy terms.

7. Data security and retention

Learning records stay on your device, so protect it with updates and a passcode. Service providers protect optional analytics, diagnostics, and purchase records using their security controls. We retain these records only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal/accounting obligations, abuse prevention, and restore/refund support. 8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. The parent area lets a grown-up withdraw analytics consent and export or erase local data. Uninstalling also removes local progress. Purchase records remain with the storefront and purchase processor where required for restore, refunds, accounting, security, or legal obligations. Contact us for requests involving provider-held pseudonymous records.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We will also reconcile material changes with the App’s consent flow and store privacy declarations before they take effect.
